 At age 22 Leticia Muñoz Moreno is one of the most sought after violinists of her generation. Equally praised  by audiences and critics  for her exquisite musicality and expresivity, Leticia has been catching the attention of today's most important conductors. Winner of  five  international  competitions:  The Henryk Szeryng Competition (2000), Concertino Praga (2000) Novosibirsk (2001) Sarasate (2001) ,and the  Kreisler Competition,  She has received numerous national and international awards, among them the Emily Anderson Prize 2005 of the Royal Philharmonic Society and a Martin Musical Scholarship from the Philharmonia Orchestra and the Ibla Grand Prize 2008 after which being offered a concert tour around the world performing in major halls. Leticia has been also  member of jury in the Sarasate competition 2007.

 

Leticia studied with  legendary Prof. Bron in Madrid's Reina Sofia School and in Köln Musikhochschule and with  Maxim Vengerov  in Saarbrücken Musikhochschule. In 2007 Leticia obtained her Masters Degree with distinction with Prof D. Takeno at  the Guildhall School of Music and Drama receiving the  highest grade ever in the  history of the school for her Final Recital. This year Maestro Salvatore Accardo has invited her to Cremona to pursue his advice with a scholarship of the Fondazione Stauffer. She also had the privilege to receive the last and most valuable music  advices of Maestro Rostropovich the last three years  before he died.

 

Most recently  Maestro Plácido Domingo has become her mentor caring about her musical and artistical development and  her proffessional career.

 

Since she is twelve, she has been performing with leading orchestras, including Wiener Symphoniker, Wiener Kammer Orchester,  Sinfonia Varsovia, Sinfonietta Cracovia, Lithuanian Symphony Orchestra, Latvian Symphony Orchestra, St Petersburg Camerata, Novosibirsk Symphony Orchestra, Frankfurt Symphony Orchestra,   Opera North Symphony Orchestra (Leeds), Besançon Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra Symphonica de Palermo,  Czec Radio-TV Orchestra, Slovenian  Radio Symphony Orchestra, , Orchestra  Symphonica Abruzzese, San Remo Philharmonic Orchestra,  Israel Youth Symphony Orchestra, South Asian Youth Symphony Orchestra, Festival Orchestra of Bulgaria and all the major orchestras in Spain under batons like those of  Krzystoff Penderecki, , Walter Weller, Günther Herbig,  P. Halffter , J. López Cobos, Pinchas Steinberg among many others.

 

Leticia has appeared in some of Europe´s most pretigious concert halls like Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, Wiener Konzerthaus, Rudolfino Theatre of Prague, London's Wigmore Hall, Bayreuth Opernhaus, Great Hall of the Philharmonie and Hermitage Theater in St Petersburg, La Redoute of Bonn, Warsaw, Cracow's  Philarmonies, Tel Aviv Symphony Hall, Besançon Symphony Hall and most important halls in Spain,and at some festivals like  Lockenhaus Festival, Ravinia Festival, Musical Olympus and Spanish Nights in St Petersburg, Beethoven Festival in Warsaw,  Passau Festival, Santander Festival,  Emilia Romagna, Sta. Cecilia Festival, Tel Aviv Festival, Davos Festival. Most of these concerts were  radio and TV broadcast.

She has shared concert platform with musicians like Maxim Vengerov  and  Krzystoph Penderecki  who has invited her to a worldwide tournée performing his concerto Metamorphosen.

Gidon Kremer invited her to the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival and V. Spivakov to perform with his Moscow orchestra this 2009 season.

 

Upcoming  highlights include appearances   in England, Germany, Russia, Poland ,  Italy , Spain, Taiwan, Bulgaria and has received a personal invitation from Plácido Domingo to make her USA debut in the Hollywood Bowl 2009-10 and  the Carnegie Hall April 2009.

 

Leticia has recorded Lalo's Symphonie Espagnole with  Jonde for VERSO and has made several radio recordings for RNE, ZDF, BBC and Chicago Classical Radio.
